Great idea Review by Margaret

A great idea, unfortunately the large birds, Rooks, pigeons, magpies and even seagulls circle around trying to get in at the food - unfortunately this does not encourage the smaller birds to come and take a look at what's on offer! I live in hope!!!! (Posted on 22/07/2016)

I wanted a ground feeder so I could feed mealworms and sunflower hearts to my robin and the tit families. This is perfect for the job. It is heavy so the crows and magpies can't push it over, and it is just the right size so the squirrels and starlings can't take the food. The blue tits/coal tits/great tits are in and out all day, and the robin also uses it. I was hoping the dunnocks and chaffinches would also use it but they haven't so far. I also put chunks of suet around the edge, so the blackbirds can put their heads through and eat them, they are present all day. Very pleased with this feeder, the robin is happy as he struggles with the hanging feeders! And I am pleased not to be feeding the endless squirrels! (Posted on 20/01/2016)
