Dried Calciworms are a highly nutritious feed loved by many garden birds. Naturally rich in protein and calcium, they're an excellent food source throughout the year and are particularly beneficial during breeding season when birds require additional nutrients. These tasty worms are easy for birds to eat and can help support healthy growth, feather development and strong bones.
When To Feed
Dried Calciworms can be fed to birds all year round. They're especially useful during spring and summer when adult birds are feeding their young and need extra protein. During autumn and winter, Calciworms can help birds maintain energy levels and condition during colder weather. For a varied diet, they can be fed alongside seed mixes, sunflower hearts or suet products.
Packaging
These Johnson & Jeff Dried Calciworms are supplied in a convenient 1.5kg EcoBox. The sturdy cardboard packaging helps protect the contents while using less plastic and can be recycled with household cardboard recycling.
Suitable Feeders
Dried Calciworms are versatile and can be offered in a number of ways. They can be fed from Mealworm Feeders, Bird Tables or Ground Feeders. You can also scatter small amounts on the ground for ground-feeding species. Don't forget to provide fresh water nearby, particularly during warmer weather.
Birds You Might Attract
Dried Calciworms are enjoyed by a wide variety of garden birds. Here's just some of the birds you might attract to your garden if you feed them: Blackbird, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, House Sparrow, Nuthatch, Robin, Song Thrush, Starling, Wren and Blackcap.
Storing Your Dried Calciworms
We recommend storing your Calciworms in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. This helps to keep them fresh for as long as possible and protects them from moisture. The EcoBox is ideal for use during feeding, but an airtight storage container can help maintain freshness once opened.
