The Astro features a removable back panel for easy cleaning. It comes with two galvanized plates for simple installation. Astro is made from larch, a naturally water-resistant wood grown in UK forests that will develop a weathered appearance over time.
Made in Stoke-on-Trent by Wildlife and Birdcare Nature Recovery Project (CIC) a not for profit organisation that not only help to save the crisis of nature, but are also a licensed training provider for SEN colleges to support young people with autism or additional needs leaving college to secure jobs their future.
Clean the nest box annually between September and January when unoccupied by simply removing the back panel and washing with boiling water. This allows for thorough sanitization during the non-breeding season.
