Nature's Market Squirrel Guard Nut Feeder. This is an inexpensive yet sturdy squirrel resistant peanut feeder.

The green powder coated cage is designed to deter squirrels and larger birds from getting to the peanuts inside the feeder, ensuring the food you put out is only eaten by your smaller garden birds.

Dimensions: W 15 cm x D 15 cm x H 23 cm

*A Note On Juvenile Squirrels

The feeders can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds such as magpies, crows rooks etc, which ultimately do the most damage.  Some birds, such as a woodpecker, wont fit through the bars but could manage to get their beaks inside and access the food.

There is always a chance than an adolescent young squirrel could squeeze into the bars and access the feeder.  The young squirrels look very similar to adults but are actually far fluffier making them much more flexible!  Squirrels are normally born in March, April, July and August so there may well be a risk around these months. This is short term issue and will be the problem of any feeder that has researched the necessary bar spacing required.  You may also find that adolescent jackdaws, crows and pigeons may find their way in.  The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.

If squirrels do manage to get into the feeders to prevent damage to the plastic tubes a a dash of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will have no effect on the birds at all but will deter the squirrels.

Really good but... Review by Catherine
This is a really well made feeder at a decent price but I fortunately it does not stop the resident Squirrels they squeeze themselves in to get at the food and the starlings can also feed from it, I must have very determined Squirrels and starlings! I have now bought a ball feeder to put peanuts in and Squirrels have started to leave the birds food alone! (Posted on 21/11/2019)

Very easy to use - and to open to fill up. Some bird feeds can be a nightmare for old fingers. (Posted on 25/08/2019)

    Nut feeder Review by Janette
A very cheeky family of pigeons have been pushing out the small birds from my garden so measures are needed. This feeder looks to be just the job and I look forward to trying it out very soon. (Posted on 12/08/2019)
