This is our entry level fat ball made from mix of ingredients including beef fat, wheat, sunflower seeds and calcium, where possible sourced from the UK.
These fat balls may be eaten by wild birds in your garden if more nutritious, higher fat options are not available. In test, these low cost alternatives do not feed as well as our premium and standard Garden Wildlife Direct suet balls as they are less nutritious and don’t provide the high energy ingredients provided by our more quality options.
We strongly recommend storing all suet/fat products in air tight containers in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Cardboard boxes are not designed for long term storage.
Ingredients include:
Cereals, Oils & Fats, Minerals, Oil Seeds.
Does not contain palm oil.
Type of Feeder to use:
Bird Tables, Fat Ball Feeders, Ground Feeding
Birds that you may attract with Fat Balls:
Blackbird, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Coal Tit, Collared Dove, Dunnock, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Greenfinch, House Sparrow, Nuthatch, Robin, Starling, Thrush, Wood Pigeon, Wren
Due to the fragile nature of fat balls and time in transit it is possible that up to 20% of the fat balls may be broken in the box. These broken balls will still attract birds and can be fed from most fat ball feeders or from a ground feeder.
All weights are approximate and there may be slightly more or less fat balls in these boxes.
We are actively trying to reduce the amount of plastic used in our products, unfortunately due to the high fat content of the balls, fat oil can leak out and weaken the cardboard boxes used. To ensure the fat balls get to you in good condition a thin plastic liner has to be used in the 50 and 150 boxes.
