Do you want to start feeding the birds, but you're not sure where to start? You're in the right place.

On this page you'll find everything you need to get started, from somewhere to hang the bird feeders to the feeders themselves and some good choices for your first bird food.

1. Something to put the food in

You're going to want somewhere to feed the birds. Bird stations are poles that go into the ground (or into a stand on a patio) with ornate hooks for hanging bird feeders on. They come in a range of sizes and colours and they're perfect for adding to a flower bed or in your lawn to encourage birds into your garden. The feeding station we've suggested comes with a range of feeders in the box, perfect for getting started! You can take a look at the other models on our website here, but be sure to check the product information to see if they include feeders or not.

2. Bird foods

Next, you're going to need some food! The bird station we've suggested includes the following bird feeders: 1x peanut feeder, 2x seed feeders and 1x suet block feeder. We've included an all round favourite for most birds; Sunflower Hearts, along with some suet and peanuts for the peanut feeder. As the station includes two seed feeders, we've included a bag of a mixed seed blend for you to try, but you could also put sunflower seeds in both feeders. We tend to find some birds prefer suet blocks and some prefer suet balls, so we've included both.
