About our Chilli Suet Logs
Chilli Suet Logs are a spicy, high-energy food source developed to help deter squirrels while attracting a wide variety of garden birds. Made with a blend of suet, flours, and nutrient-rich seeds - plus a dash of chilli powder - these logs are designed to be irresistible to birds, but unpleasant for squirrels. In customer trials, over 90% reported that squirrels either avoided the logs or stopped after the first try, giving birds longer uninterrupted feeding time.
Chilli contains capsaicin - a naturally occurring compound that irritates squirrels but is completely harmless to birds, who lack the receptors to detect its heat. These suet logs offer a humane, effective way to reduce squirrel interference without compromising bird nutrition or safety. Simply use with a suet log feeder, suet ball feeder, or place on a ground feeder or bird table.
