The birdbath comes with three glazed mounting feet that raise the bath slightly above the ground, helping to prevent frost damage similar to how raising garden pots off the ground protects them.
Siting
When placing a bird bath, consider its visibility. Choose a spot that is easy for birds to see while still offering cover nearby. Birds prefer bathing where they can quickly escape into bushes or trees if threatened. However, avoid locating the bath so close to cover that predators could ambush from hiding.
The ideal location will allow clear lines of sight for bathing birds while also providing refuge and good birdwatching views.
