Nocturnal little owls need a safe hiding place to sleep during the day, before becoming active during dusk and at night. Little owls love nesting in hollow trees, so provide an urban alternative with this Fallen Fruits Little Owl Box. The 100% FSC certified wood box is ideal for little owls up to 23cm and features a small front section for feeding chicks. The box may also be used by little owls for food storage or to hide from danger.

Place the owl box on a tree trunk in a quiet spot, attaching at a height of 3 to 5 metres. Be sure to locate the nesting box to a part of the tree where the leaves are not too thick, to give the owls easy access. Ensure the entrance hole is facing South to Southeast to prevent rain getting in, in a shady spot to minimise rising heat during the summer months.

Clean the box every two to three years, between October to December. To clean, simply unscrew the back two screws.

Please note, fixtures are not included.

Dimensions: 80.5 x 31 x 52cm
