*A Note on Juvenile Squirrels
The feeders protect against adult grey squirrels and larger birds, such as magpies, crows and rooks. Young squirrels and adolescent birds may occasionally squeeze through the bars, particularly during squirrel breeding periods (March–April and July–August). Smaller bar spacing could pose a risk to birds. If squirrels gain access, adding a little chilli to the food can deter them without affecting the birds.
