Designed by Simon King the stunning Medusa feeder defender cage will discourage larger birds away from your feeders. Simply hang your feeder from the hook inside of the defender cage and the hanging chains will deter larger birds whilst allowing the smaller birds to access the feeder.
Smaller birds fit comfortably between the chains and can also use them to perch and cling onto whilst they wait for their turn to feeder. The bars on the defender also double up as a handy perching point, larger birds will dislike the feel of the chains against their feathers.
Crafted from beautiful antique copper metal, this cage will look truely stunning in your garden.
This cage can only deter adult larger birds, adolescent and baby large birds will be able to squeeze between the chains. Please allow the birds some time to adjust to the new cage.
Siting
Site the Defender like a hanging bird feeder - away from obstructions such as tree branches or bushes. Hang your cylindrical seed, nut or fat feeder from the hook on the lower inside lid of the defender. For the defender to be most effective, ensure the bottom of your feeder does not hang lower than the bottom of the dangling chains.
