Squirrel Buster Plus - 100% Squirrel Proof

£54.99
Free Delivery

Does most of the seed you put into your feeder get eaten by unwanted guests rather than our smaller feather friends? Do you have a problem with Squirrels, Jackdaws, Magpies or Pigeons.

Well the brilliant Squirrel Buster Plus from Brome will stop squirrels and the larger birds from feeding from it. This feeder is part of an award-winning designed range of feeders that are the only ones on the market to 100% Squirrel Proof and not a mild deterrant like all other feeders.

Using the squirrel's weight against itself, when the squirrel lands on or grabs the feeder the ports are covered preventing the squirrel from being able to get to the food, even if they shake the feeder!!

The same principle works for larger bird, their heavier weight will result in the feeding ports being closed when the birds land on the perches. The sensitivity of the feeder can be easy altered so you can customise at what weight the ports close - with the free information guide, you can see the weight of a variety of birds and determine which ones you want to be able to feed in your garden.

The Brome Squirrel Buster Plus can hold up to 2.3kgs of food therefore you will only have to fill the feeder up every so often.

Dimensions - 50cm x 16.5cm (19.7" x 6.5") - 6 ports. Weight: 1.5kg

Comes complete with a two year manufactory’s warranty.

Combine with the specially weather guard and/or Pole Adaptor to increase the range of birds coming to the feeder.

The best feeder you will ever buy!

Available in a Peanut version and different Seed sizes.

In our rural location we are plagued by squirrels. Over the years I have tried many different "squirrel proof" feeders. Our super intelligent squirrels have sabotaged all of them. So far this feeder has defeated them. We are keeping our fingers crosed........ (Posted on 14/10/2018)

Excellent product, I did have my doubts, as all other feeders have been wrecked by the squirrels. So far this has beaten them, and believe me they have tried. (Posted on 15/07/2018)

I was sceptical, but thought I'd give this feeder a go. Wow, what a difference! The whole dynamics in my garden have completely changed. The Squirrels, Jackdaws and Rooks have always been the 'bully boys' around the feeders and bird table. I left the old, partially filled feeders in place while the birds got used to the new feeders (I bought 4 in total). It really didn't take long for the birds to get accustomed to the new feeders, and as soon as the old ones were empty, they moved easily to the new ones. The Squirrels, Jackdaws and Rooks have now been relegated to waiting for the scraps to fall from the other garden birds!
These feeders are easy to assemble, easy to fill, and with the 12' hangers I also bought, easy to place around the garden. They look absolutely great, the colour helping them blend into the foliage of the trees. I've also noticed that some birds that were reluctant to use my old feeders are more inclined to use the new ones, and several species tend to hang around to eat longer than before.
I highly recommend this feeder if you have an issue with Squirrels and large birds in your garden. I have adjusted the factory weight setting to allow birds up the the weight of Starlings, as they're nesting under the eves of my roof and have youngsters to feed, as well as being in decline in general. I know that I am saving myself pounds in bird food, and due to their size, I need to fill them up less frequently. I bought the weather-proof fittings too, and because the circular perch offers a secure spot for the birds, the Blue Tits and Great Tits, for instance, are eating the food in situ, rather than flying away with each piece of food. This gives me the pleasure of watching them for longer, and the newly fledged young learning to feed themselves, rather than just a fleating glance of them. (Posted on 07/06/2018)
Seed spillage Review by Jean

Although this feeder is squirrel proof,I have had to give up using it after several months. I have a large volume of birds constantly at the feeders and had to put a tray underneath. In 3 days I would have enough to fill the feeder again, seed that had to be dried. This has become too expensive to continue to use and I have reverted to my old globe feeder, also squirrel proof but no spillage.,just have to fill it more often, twice a day sometimes. I have 10 feeders and their use is constant. I will also have to give up using smaller similar feeders for the same reason. (Posted on 11/01/2018)

A month in and completely squirrel proof. We positioned this outside out kitchen window in a wooded glade. The squirrels spent the first few days determined to bypass its ingenious system and then gave up, referring instead to wait for birds to feed and collect any scattered seed from the ground. We have many other types of seed feeder, this is the only one that is truly squirrel proof. (Posted on 16/05/2017)
Paid for itself in just a few months. Review by Tania

I was having a lot of trouble with squirrels eating the bird food, so I tried lots of anti squirrel bird feeders, which didn't solve the problem and eventually I bought a plastic squirrel baffle. This seemed to work as long as the feeder was not near any bushes, but then noisy parakeets (I live in London) started arriving, and taking over the feeders daily. So I decided to invest in the squirrel buster plus.

I used to spend £20 a month on seed. Since I bought the squirrel buster a few months ago, I have spent £20 in 4 months, saving £60. I have a wonderful variety of small garden birds using it, and I am very pleased with the product. (Posted on 30/03/2017)
Major bird feeder! Review by Erica

Only had up it for a couple of weeks but great so far.
Not cheap but you seem to get what you pay for - had read many reviews on many sites before buying due to the price and I agree with them: expensive but well worth it.

It's very big so you definitely need to think about this if your tree is small and your branches will have to be able to hold few kilos filled up;), and it's also why it's great: you don't have to fill it up every 2seconds!(in our area a small one can get empty in less than 2 days!)

And this one cannot get accessed by squirrels! This definitely works and "our" squirels have definitely been VERY crafty at getting into ANY of our other ones!;) - they gave up trying on this one very quickly!

So if it lasts, and our neighbour has had hers for 18months already, then it is 20% worth the money.

Note : Haven't tried yet but it also says that it can be dismantled and put in the dishwasher so pretty good!.

The brome squirrel buster plus is by a far the best bird feeder you can buy, it is 100% squirrel and pigeon proof. It is quite a large feeder which means you dont have to fill up as often. The important thing is that all the birds feed from the bottom of the feeder and not at various hights meaning that all 6 positions can feed till the seed runs out.i was that impressed i bought two.

I have had many squirrel proof bird feeders over the years and this is by far the best.
It didn't take long before the birds got used to it and the squirrel was deterred. (Posted on 27/02/2017)
