Bird Foods are not fit for human consumption.

Create a safe haven for garden birds with the Nuttery squirrel proof feeders, their clever cages allow your garden birds in but keep those unwanted guests out!  They prevent adult Squirrels* from getting to the treats!

The Nuttery Squirrel Proof Oval Fat Ball Feeder has been designed to hold both fat balls and suet cakes - either up to 6 suet balls or two suet blocks.

This robust construction feeder has been built to a high quality from durable steel and finished in a beautiful ocean green colour, the anti squirrel cage stops adult squirrels and large wild birds from reaching the suet selection inside this Nuttery bird feeder - allowing your small garden visitors to feed in safety in an area which predators cannot access.

This Ocean Green Oval feeder is easy to refill thanks to the finger holes which allows for easy removal of the inner cage, and this feeder should be cleaned regularly between uses to ensure it remains safe for visiting birds to use. Once cleaned and filled this metal bird feeder can then be hung up in your garden from a branch or hook using the fat ball feeders ocean green handle.

*A Note On Juvenile Squirrels

The Nuttery feeders can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds such as magpies, crows rooks etc, which ultimately do the most damage.  Some birds, such as a woodpecker, wont fit through the bars but could manage to get their beaks inside and access the food.

There is always a chance than an adolescent young squirrel could squeeze into the bars and access the feeder.  The young squirrels look very similar to adults but are actually far fluffier making them much more flexible!  Squirrels are normally born in March, April, July and August so there may well be a risk around these months. This is short term issue and will be the problem of any feeder that has researched the necessary bar spacing required.  You may also find that adolescent jackdaws, crows and pigeons may find their way in.  The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.

If squirrels do manage to get into the feeders to prevent damage to the plastic tubes a a dash of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will have no effect on the birds at all but will deter the squirrels.

Dimensions:

H 170mm x W 220mm x D 155mm.

Please note the feeder is not supplied with a wall bracket.

The feeder is truly squirrel proof as long as you make sure the hangers are held together by some means as this is what holds the lid on.
