The Nuttery Squirrel Proof Oval Fat Ball Feeder has been designed to hold both fat balls and suet cakes - either up to 6 suet balls or a single suet block.

This robust construction feeder has been built to a high quality from durable steel and finished in a beautiful ocean green colour, the anti squirrel cage stops adult squirrels and large wild birds from reaching the suet selection inside this Nuttery bird feeder - allowing your small garden visitors to feed in safety in an area which predators cannot access.

This Ocean Green Oval feeder is easy to refill thanks to the finger holes which allows for easy removal of the inner cage, and this feeder should be cleaned regularly between uses to ensure it remains safe for visiting birds to use. Once cleaned and filled this metal bird feeder can then be hung up in your garden from a branch or hook using the fat ball feeders ocean green handle.

This stylish, crow proof feeder comes with a manufacturer's 10 year guarantee.

*A Note On Juvenile Squirrels

The Nuttery feeders can only protect against adult grey squirrels, which ultimately do the most damage.

There is always a chance than an adolescent young squirrel could squeeze into the bars and access the feeder.  The young squirrels look very similar to adults but are actually far fluffier making them much more flexible!  Squirrels are normally born in March, April, July and August so there may well be a risk around these months. This is short term issue and will be the problem of any feeder that has researched the necessary bar spacing required.

If squirrels do manage to get into the feeders to prevent damage to the plastic tubes a a dash of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will have no effect on the birds at all but will deter the squirrels.

Dimensions:

H 170mm x W 220mm x D 155mm.

Please note the feeder is not supplied with a wall bracket.

Great feeder Review by Jane Shaw
This does exactly what it says it does. Only the smaller birds can feed from it. I got it for the birdcakes, I felt so guilty when the blackbirds and starlings couldn't get at it that I put back the ordinary feeder for them, but now the little birds can feast without having to wait until the bigger birds have left. great product Review by Graham
Bought one of these last week. At last a feeder that prevents larger birds- especially magpies- nicking all the fat balls. Seeing them trying is quite amusing as was watching the baby starlings getting more and more frustrated. Didn't take long for the tits and sparrows to find their way in. (Posted on 14/07/2019)

Better than the old version Review by Andy
This arrived well packaged and set up for use. I had an old version of this feeder and the lid eventually rusted through after many years service. The method for fitting the lid on this one is an improvement on there old design. It is easy to fill and too clean. We do have a squirrel that visits the garden and, so far, it has not achieved access to the suet blocks within, despite clearly attempting it. A good value product that the birds took to immediately.
