The Solitary Beehive is an attractive Solitary Bee Habitat, constructed from durable FSC timber wtih stacking trays which can be opened for inspection and cleaning.

Solitary Bees are essential to the pollination of flowers, fruit and vegetables so encouraging them to our gardens is hugely beneficial.  The Bees are naturally attracted to the holes in the wood particularly non swarming bees such as the Red Mason Bee, Leafcutter Bee and other Solitary Bees, the bees are industrious, beautiful and safe around children and pets.

The bee hive is fascinating and great for education, the beehive trays can be separated and inspected (after bee activity has ceased in Autumn and Winter) to view the formation of small cells where the eggs are laid, or where predators have been active.

Ideally situated in a sunny position, facing South or South East to catch the morning sun.  Mounting height between ground level and 1.5m.

Dimensions

Everyone should have one! Review by Carol
This is the second bee habitat I've bought and love them. They do work! I was sceptical but I've four cells full on one and the other has only been up a week on my allotment. We should all be helping bees as much as we can and buying at least one of these is a great way of helping. (Posted on 12/09/2017)
