Windsor Squirrel Starling Proof Fatball Feeder

The Windsor seed feeder with Guardian cage is a great value hard wearing metal feeder finished in a beautiful dark green. The strong metal guardian gives protection from Starlings, Adult Squirrels and Larger birds(*) allowing smaller birds to access the feeding tube inside. 

Inside the guardian cage is a metal feeder which holds up to 4 standard sized fat balls and offers plenty of feeding space for your birds.

The lid flips off easily for filling with fat balls, the feeder easily slots inside the guardian cage and can be hung on a tree, branch hook or feeding station using the substansial handle.

To thoroughly clean the Windsor the feeder can be unscrewed from the base using a screwdriver.  Mix some mild detergent in water to clean the feeder, we recommend using a cleaning brush and some bird safe disinfectant. Ensure the feeder is fully dried before putting it back together and refilling.

A note on squirrel protection although this feeder is squirrel and large bird proof we cannot guarantee that the most determined squirrels or large birds won’t get inside of the feeder, particularly juvenile squirrels and birds which are far more agile than the adults.  Birds with particularly long beaks may also be able to access the feeder inside of the guardian. The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.
